Casilayan Softwood Development Corp. (CSDC) is an industrial tree plantation development company created to provide for the JAKA Group’s match companies wood requirements.

The company acquired Integrated Forestry Management Agreement (IFMA) concessions with the national government to rehabilitate and develop certain identified tracts of non-productive, government-owned forestlands, or Degraded Residual Forests (DRF), into revenue-generating, sustainable industrial tree plantations.

CSDC converts DRF areas into commercial tree plantations of mixed fast-growing tree species. Silvicultural methods are employed to ensure that harvest and planting are scheduled and done in the most desirable conditions to assure sustainability.

CSDC is under the Lights and Woods Division of the JAKA Group of Companies.
