All industrial tree plantations go through three major activities in accordance to the Comprehensive Development and Management Plan (CDMP): 

(1) Plantation Development 

(2) Harvesting/Utilization 

(3) Processing 

These are based on the principles of Sustainable Development, which are economically and environmentally sound, and socially acceptable.

Selective Logging System (SLS) and other appropriate silvicultural methods are used to ensure the sustainability of rehabilitated forestlands.

Identified Degraded Residual Forests (DRF) are converted into commercial tree-plantations of fast-growing tree species. Wooded grasslands, barren lands and other land areas are also managed using appropriate silvicultural activities.
