Sigma Security Services, Inc. (SSSI) was organized in January 15, 1980, with the mandate of providing perimeter and installation security of JAKA\'s remote logging concessions and agricultural plantations located in Quezon Province, Samar, and the Basilan Islands. The initial success from these operations paved the way for the JAKA Group to make SSSI its exclusive security service provider.

From the paramilitary type of operations required in the remote areas, SSSI augmented its commando-type field security training to address an entirely different landscape with security needs for installation, office and residential and other business establishments. The Sigma Guard Corps gained a more corporate outlook, producing an enviable result of well-rounded security guardsmen who are not only capable of protecting the company\'s assets and personnel, but can also contribute towards the attainment of the client\'s corporate objectives.

The situation in the country during the latter part of the 1980s increased the demand for private and personal security, opening opportunities for SSSI to grow. To answer for the increase in crimes against business and families perpetuated by organized crime syndicates, SSSI responded in two ways: by providing personal security services to individuals and families, and by offering security services to private sectors.
